Bosch. More than just an inventor of monsters and chimeras.

Bosch is the most famous Dutch artist worldwide; his works depict the world of human desires and fears in the famous triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, among others; he is also the painter with the most fantasy and marked pessimistic art with terrifying representations of hell.
They refer to the moral attitudes and religious concepts of the late Middle Ages.

An intriguing, extraordinary, and enigmatic artist who deserves to be enjoyed. Currently, the Prado Museum has set up a room dedicated to the artist within the Reunions exhibition.

The book also includes a separate large-format plate for the reader to frame.

Bosch is still considered a visionary, a portraitist of dreams and nightmares, as well as the quintessential painter of hell and its demons.

Jheronimus van Aken, Bosch, was part of a family of painters who worked for six generations, first in Nijmegen (Duchy of Guelder), where they must have arrived from Aachen (if his surname, Aken, is indeed a surname of origin, as has been assumed), and then in 's-Hertogenbosch. There are still many gaps regarding his biography.

For example, it is unknown where his parents lived when he was born, nor is his year of birth. What is certain is that he is one of the most famous artists for his enigmatic work, featuring religious themes of great fantasy and imagination, which express concern about the constant presence of sin and the threat of hell. His style reflects the fears of the late Middle Ages, when religious salvation was a major obsession.

He was Philip II's favorite painter.

The work also contains more than 30 extraordinary images by the artist with witty and interesting commentary by the author.

This limited edition of 2,000 copies includes a fabulous triptych print that folds out for display and decoration on any wall. At The Galobart Books, we have selected the most spectacular print to be part of a private and exclusive collection of this imaginative artist.
